Buried and Alive!

Hello Friends.

It's been way too long.

Saw this today, and it spoke to me
because it is exactly where I am.

And there truly is no better place!!

It won't take away all we deal with,
but knowing that I am buried in
His grace is what helps
me put one foot in front of the other
to keep climbing the mountains in
my life.

His grace is life sustaining...
more so than food or water.
So I cling to the Vine,
and somehow...
with all the sometimes tangled
mess of my life,
the Vinedresser snips and prunes, and manages to cultivate plump juicy spiritual fruit in me.

Wonder of wonders...
that He would so lovingly tend to
all that concerns me...
and always...ALWAYS,
make something beautiful out of it all.

So incredibly thankful,
aren't you?

Splash some joy around,
and have a wonderful week!
Hugs,
Becky

Give Me Life

Happy Monday!

A fresh new week...
all kinds of things battling for
my attention and time.

We all have the same 24 hours
in a day, and it really does matter
how we spend our minutes. This is
something God is making me
increasingly aware of.

God's Word is to be my food.
And as I read it, ponder it, pray
about it; something wonderful happens...
My thoughts have order, my day
has direction, and my spirit is refreshed.

As I look to Him, He helps me to prioritize
my time, and to be more aware of each minute, so I don't waste time on unnecessary things.

Our time here is so brief.
I don't want to waste any of it
if I can help it!

Share His love and your smile today, ok?
Have a lovely week!
Hugs,

Seeking

God, in His amazing grace,
did not just leave us here
without a hope, to handle
the challenges of life
all on our own.
In the Bible, His Holy Word,
which is the longest and best selling
book EVER,
   He gives us the blessed assurance that
when we seek Him,
we will find Him.

In fact, He'd rather us seek Him
and become His, so He can be our
strength
through the difficult trials
we each face.

He is not a far off God that we
have to get it all together to know.
He knows all of our faults and sins
very well, and still longs
for a relationship with us.
How cool is that?

Do you know Him personally?
If not, I am praying that you will
begin to seek Him through His Word.

And I know...{because He said so}
that if you seek Him,
you will find Him,
and be changed forever!

May the glory of His grace
rain down on you this week!

Hugs and joy!

Simple Truth

As the fall light softens the landscape,
and conjures thoughts of cooler days,
I find my heart drawn back to some
of the simpler truths of life.

In the quietness of the evening, I gave thought
to the harvest.  I love the whole notion of it.
The farmer works, tills the soil, plants the seeds,
and carefully tends the new growth, until at last,
the day of harvest comes, and he gets to
enjoy the bountiful fruit of his labors.

What a wonderful thing.
And hidden in it is a simple truth.

As we sow, so shall we reap.

Galatians 6:7-8

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."

If the farmer had sown the seed, and
left it unattended, or sporadically and haphazardly
cared for it, his harvest would suffer the ill effects
that his lack of care would afford.

So it is with our days...
and our minutes and hours.
What we do with each minute does matter.
Because the minutes quickly become the day,
and before we know it, the day is gone.

God gives us each new day we have,
and one thing is for sure...
whatever we sow into them...
WE SHALL REAP!
Sowing into the things of this world, and into
the lust of the flesh and the pride of this life,
will reap nothing that matters in light of eternity,
and often erects a wall between us and God.

Let's sow faith, prayer, kindness, goodness, self control,
patience, joy, love, peace, discipline, a good work ethic,
and believe that the work we have is the work
of the Lord, and do it heartily, as unto Him.
And we shall reap an incredibly bountiful harvest that is
blessed by God!
What could be better?

Have a blessed week,
Hugs,
Becky

Not Made For This

 This is not our final destination.  This is not what we
were created for.  This world is not our home.

Oh how I delight in the thought of the day I will
be in the presence of the One, True, God...
My Savior, Redeemer, and Friend!

Each day I am finding that the things of earth
are growing strangely dim, in the light
of His glory and grace!

Soooo amazing!

Have a blessed day,
Becky

The Hurrieder I Go...

The behinder I get!!

At least that is how I am feeling today!

Soo many things calling to me for attention.

Never enough time for them all!

I'm so thankful that God will
direct the steps of His children,
aren't you?

May He order my footsteps and yours today,
and lead us in the way we should go.

Hugs and Joy!

Tough Times

It's difficult sometimes, isn't it, to be able to see things
with spiritual eyes, and watch what is going on in our great nation?
It can be downright scary, right?

I have had to ask my hubby if we could decrease the amount of
"news" that we watch or listen to, because I found myself getting
too stirred up by hearing or seeing the same ickiness time and time again.

In God's Word, He tells us repeatedly to "be strong, and of good courage".

He also tells us that HE has overcome the world.

Do our attitudes and actions show that we believe Him?

 Do we take Him at His word?
I can say that I do as much as I possibly can, and
for the rest, I ask Him to increase my belief.

If I find myself getting pulled down, overwhelmed with concern,
worry or fear about things I have no control over,
 I begin to capture those thoughts before
I grant them any more power to control me,
and I replace them with scripture verses!

A few I love are...

The Lord is my Light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?
Ps 27:1
~~~~~
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power
and of love and of a sound mind.  2Timothy 1:7
~~~~~
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you
may have peace.  In the world you will have
tribulation, but be of good cheer {take courage}
I have overcome the world.  John 16:33
~~~~~
Before I know it, I am singing praise songs
and am full of the joy of the Lord!
I absolutely love experiencing the victory over
wrong thinking!  No, I still mess up and let my thoughts
get the best of me, but, praise God, I am getting better all the time!!
Blessings to you all!
So glad you stopped by!
Splash some of your joy around this week!
Hugs,
Becky
