Seeking

God, in His amazing grace,
did not just leave us here
without a hope, to handle
the challenges of life
all on our own.
In the Bible, His Holy Word,
which is the longest and best selling
book EVER,
He gives us the blessed assurance that
when we seek Him,
we will find Him.

In fact, He'd rather us seek Him
and become His, so He can be our
strength
through the difficult trials
we each face.

He is not a far off God that we
have to get it all together to know.
He knows all of our faults and sins
very well, and still longs
for a relationship with us.
How cool is that?

Do you know Him personally?
If not, I am praying that you will
begin to seek Him through His Word.

And I know...{because He said so}
that if you seek Him,
you will find Him,
and be changed forever!

May the glory of His grace
rain down on you this week!

Hugs and joy!

Simple Truth

As the fall light softens the landscape,
and conjures thoughts of cooler days,
I find my heart drawn back to some
of the simpler truths of life.

In the quietness of the evening, I gave thought
to the harvest.  I love the whole notion of it.
The farmer works, tills the soil, plants the seeds,
and carefully tends the new growth, until at last,
the day of harvest comes, and he gets to
enjoy the bountiful fruit of his labors.

What a wonderful thing.
And hidden in it is a simple truth.

As we sow, so shall we reap.

Galatians 6:7-8

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."

If the farmer had sown the seed, and
left it unattended, or sporadically and haphazardly
cared for it, his harvest would suffer the ill effects
that his lack of care would afford.

So it is with our days...
and our minutes and hours.
What we do with each minute does matter.
Because the minutes quickly become the day,
and before we know it, the day is gone.

God gives us each new day we have,
and one thing is for sure...
whatever we sow into them...
WE SHALL REAP!
Sowing into the things of this world, and into
the lust of the flesh and the pride of this life,
will reap nothing that matters in light of eternity,
and often erects a wall between us and God.

Let's sow faith, prayer, kindness, goodness, self control,
patience, joy, love, peace, discipline, a good work ethic,
and believe that the work we have is the work
of the Lord, and do it heartily, as unto Him.
And we shall reap an incredibly bountiful harvest that is
blessed by God!
What could be better?

Have a blessed week,
Hugs,
Becky
